Softwarelösungenfor our health service

For 40 years, DORNER Health IT Solutions has been one of the leading providers of IT solutions in the healthcare sector. At more than 10,000 workplaces, we make daily work easier, more efficient and more secure.

Innovation & competence from experience

The needs of our customers and the idea of service are our fuel and shape our corporate philosophy. Because complex challenges require precision and adaptability:

With 40 years of market presence, we are one of the leading providers of IT for healthcare and optimises processes in clinics and laboratories. In 1982, the company was founded in the Markgräflerland region of southern Baden by Karl-Eugen Dorner and from the very beginning focused on the development of software solutions for medical laboratories. The first laboratory information systems (LIS / LIMS) were developed together with the University of Freiburg and are still state-of-the-art today. Our product portfolio continues to grow and develop. In recent years, we have been able to map not only the many requirement solutions but also increasingly new areas such as forensic medicine, human genetics and sports medicine. To this day, we are an owner-managed family business. The two sons of the founder Karl-Eugen Dorner, Matthias Stromberger and Christian Dorner, have been joint managing directors since the beginning of 2022.

Programmed for the future: IT solutions for laboratory, clinic, doctor and patient from a single source.

Part of the CIS Group

In order to be even better prepared for the challenges of the future, Karl-Eugen Dorner, Matthias Stromberger and Christian Dorner made the joint decision to bring a strong investment partner on board. With the GUS Group, they have chosen a long-term planning and sustainably acting shareholder since October 2021.

In this way, we remain competitive in an ever more consolidating market and at the same time gain new resources for the development and growth of the company.

The GUS Group develops and implements holistically integrated software solutions for the process industry (pharmaceuticals, medical technology, chemicals, cosmetics, food, food trade) and logistics. The approximately 660 employees of the GUS Group support around 1,900 mostly medium-sized companies as well as corporate groups and public authorities.
